Bozrah Community Safety App

The Bozrah Volunteer Fire Company, in partnership with the Town of Bozrah Fire Marshal’s and Emergency Management Office, is proud to launch the free MyLocalSafety app for the community.

The app allows residents to securely share important household information with emergency responders before they arrive on scene. Information such as family members, pets, medical or mobility needs, propane or gas tank locations, utility shut-offs, gate access, and solar panels can help responders respond more quickly and effectively during emergencies.

The app will also allow the BVFC and FM Office to communicate important emergency and community information directly to residents.

The BVFC explained, “This is the digital upgrade of the old ‘save my child’ and ‘save my pet’ window stickers — but much more sophisticated.” They added that the information provided links straight to their existing emergency response systems, enhancing their ability to safeguard the community. The MyLocalSafety app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play. More information is available at www.MyLocalSafety.com.
